Hormonal Regulation of Appetite,
The College of Science at Knowledge University organized a scientific presentation entitled “Hormonal Regulation of Appetite,” presented by A. Aya Sardar.
The presentation discussed the important role of hormones in regulating hunger and satiety, controlling food intake, and maintaining the body’s energy balance. It also explained how hormonal signals are transmitted between the digestive system, adipose tissue, and the brain, and how these signals influence appetite and eating behavior.
Another part of the presentation focused on the importance of understanding the biological mechanisms involved in appetite regulation and their relationship with metabolism, nutrition, and human health. This topic provides a better understanding of the physiological factors that influence changes in appetite and energy regulation within the body.
This scientific activity was conducted as part of the College of Science’s efforts to enhance students’ academic knowledge, strengthen their scientific understanding, and connect theoretical concepts with important topics related to human physiology, nutrition, and health.
