Field Visit to Malbray Chemicals Company and the Development of Academic and Professional Cooperation

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application, Dr. Rasan Sarbast, Head of the Department of Petroleum Engineering and Oil & Gas Refining, together with Asst. Prof. Qasim Yahya, Deputy Head of the Department of Oil & Gas Refining, conducted a field visit to Malbray Chemicals Company, the official representative of Malbray Germany in the Middle East.

The company specializes in the production of supporting chemical materials used in oil fields.

The main objective of the visit was to discuss and agree on organizing field visits for students to the company’s facilities, in addition to preparing for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two sides.

This cooperation is expected to provide significant strategic benefits for students by creating opportunities for them to gain direct exposure to the chemical industry used in oil fields and to become familiar with German technologies. It will also help enrich students’ research and graduation projects through practical industrial experience.

Furthermore, the cooperation is intended to contribute to creating future employment opportunities for students and graduates in leading companies within the oil and gas sector.
